New Faculty Publication from Greg Lanier

RTS Orlando Assistant Professor of New Testament, Dr. Greg Lanier, has released his latest publication, Old Testament Conceptual Metaphors and the Christology of Luke's Gospel

This volume is the culmination of Dr. Lanier's PhD dissertation, originally delivered at the University of Cambridge, and is part of the T&T Clark series, "Library of New Testament Studies."

In this work of extensive scholarship, Dr. Lanier presents the importance of particular metaphors found in both the Old Testament and the Gospel of Luke, and their portrayal of Jesus Christ as both "an agent of salvation and, more provocatively, the one God of Israel." The metaphors Dr. Lanier discusses include the "horn of salvation," "dawn from on high," "mother bird gathering Jerusalem's children," and "crushing stone."

Dr. Lanier's book is available on Amazon and from Bloomsbury T&T Clark.
