Dr. Derek Thomas to teach Westminster Standards Class at RTS Jackson

Distinguished Visiting Professor of Systematic and Historical Theology at RTS Jackson, contributor to Reformation 21, and now also fellow pastor with Sinclair Ferguson at First Presbyterian Columbia , Dr. Derek Thomas, will once again be teaching the course Westminster Standards as a fall elective.

The class will focus on the Assembly and its major documents with emphasis to the historical, political, and theological context of the Assembly.  Topics of classroom discussion include: the Westminster doctrine of Scripture, the Confession’s relation to the theology of Calvin, and the debate over church polity.

 Students should note that the course will be offered only on the following dates: October 21-22 (Friday/Saturday) and December 2-3 (Friday/Saturday). Are you interested in learning more about our Reformed heritage?
