Dr. Dunson to speak at DFW Reformation Conference

Associate Professor of New Testament Dr. Ben Dunson will be speaking at the DFW Reformation Conference 2018. The theme for this year’s conference is “New Testament Portraits: The Christian Life,” and it will be occurring on October 26th and 27th at Mid-Cities Presbyterian Church.

Here is a portion of the conference description:

“The Bible presents us with many different portraits of life in a fallen world. In these lectures we will look at three such portraits. The first one, from 1 Peter, is one that defines Christian believers as ‘sojourners and exiles’ in this world. The second is from Hebrews, which reveals the Christian life to be a time of wilderness wandering as we wait patiently by faith to enter our heavenly homeland. The third, from Revelation, depicts the Christian life as a kingly reign with Jesus Christ, although it is a reign where victory is obtained in the midst of outward hostility, suffering, and even death. With each lecture we will examine the struggles the people of God were experiencing that lead each biblical author to paint their distinctive portrait of the Christian life, as well as looking at the ways in which these portraits give sustenance and strength to God's people in every generation.”

Conference Schedule:
