Robert Emeott Promoted to Executive Vice President of RTS Orlando

Robert (Bob) Emeott, who has served RTS Orlando and President Don Sweeting as vice president of administration since December 1, 2010, became the executive vice president of RTS Orlando starting July 16, 2012. In addition to oversight of operations and administration on the Orlando campus, he will take on the development (fundraising) efforts for the campus.

“It is already a joy working with Bob as the Orlando vice president of administration,” said President Don Sweeting. “I have great confidence in him as he steps into to this newly created position of executive vice president. I know that I speak for Bob when I say that our trust is not in our own abilities or the gifts that the Lord has given to us, but it is in the strength of the Lord. I look forward to working with Bob in this new capacity to serve RTS, to bless our students and faculty, to build up the church and in all things to magnify the Lord together.”

Emeott was part of the 20th Anniversary Lifework Leadership class of 2012 in Orlando and currently serves on the board of the Villas at Lakeside Association, where RTS Orlando owns 16 residential student housing units. He served the church as a ruling elder at Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church in Greenwood Village, Colo., where Sweeting was the senior pastor before he became president of the RTS Orlando campus.

Raised in Michigan, Emeott graduated with honors from Northwood University with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree. He achieved All American status as a two-sport collegiate athlete in track and field, and played NCAA Division II football all four years of college. Emeott later earned an Executive MBA from Northwestern University. He enjoyed an 18-year career with Marathon Petroleum Company and Shell Oil Company. Before moving to Orlando and joining the non-profit work at RTS, he worked as vice president and CFO in the commercial real estate industry.

Emeott has been married to Lynn for 27 years, and they recently moved into a home in Winter Park, Fla. The Emeotts have three adult children--Eric, Emily and Elyssa, who is finishing up her undergraduate studies at UCF.
