Former RTS Orlando alumnus Blake DeWitt joined the RTS family in June 2013 to serve as the Information Technology Administrator Institutionally and at the Orlando Campus. Georgia-born but long-time Florida resident, Blake spent most of his youth in Jacksonville, Florida, but moved to Orlando to attend the University of Central Florida.
At UCF, Blake earned his Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies while focusing on Mathematics, Communications and Judaic Studies. Through God’s blessing, he met his wife Kim while involved in Campus Outreach, Florida. They married in 2007.
After graduating UCF, Blake attended RTS Orlando where he received a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies while working at Campus Outreach. After RTSO, he attended Florida State University and received a Master of Arts in Library and Information Studies where he focused on networking & technology, information architecture, and web design. While his intention was to enter the field of theological librarianship, it was during this time that a passion for information technology grew through education at FSU and work experience in technical library services.
Blake began to dive more into the information technology world, after FSU, where he gained experience working in simulation for the entertainment industry, web administration, and IT services for the post-production film industry.
Blake and his wife, Kim, have one daughter, Brooke Elizabeth.
