The Summer Institute of Biblical Languages began on June 27 and will run for 7 weeks through August 12. The Hebrew Class, which meets from 9-12 each morning, has 17 students, and the Greek Class, which meets from 1-4 each afternoon, has 43 students.
In addition to RTS Jackson students, there are several visiting students. Auditors include an 83-year-old retired lawyer, Miles’s 12-year-old daughter, two home-schooling moms from North Carolina who brought five children between the ages of 12 and 14, several pastors in the area, and a couple of current students who wanted to refresh their languages.
The first Ultimate Frisbee game included 26 students from both classes. This year it has been promised that the Hebrew and Greek T-shirts will be from Under Armor and have more of a jersey feel.
